Your Questions Answered

Why did The Potter’s House of North Dallas change its name to The Bridge Frisco

Our new name, The Bridge Frisco, represents our mission to be a bridge that connects the hearts of people to the heart of God and our desire to be a bridge in our community that meets diverse needs. This change reflects our mission, vision, geographical location and continued direction of our church, and depicts who we have always been.

What is the meaning of the new name and logo?

The Bridge Frisco represents us as a congregation, as the bridge is the essence of our ministry and is at the core of our church. This has been part of our mission since our launch in 2010. We believe The Bridge Frisco is a more accurate representation that will allow the church to connect more deeply with individual families in our area, while bridging the gap to provide support where needed.

We also updated our visual identity, including our logo and colors, to reflect our new name and provide a visual representation of our mission. Our new logo mark has a letter B with a bridge in the middle, which represents forward movement. It demonstrates the way serving as a bridge promotes forward progress and growth.

Are there any changes to the mission, vision and values?

No. Since our inception, our mission has been: “We are a bridge, connecting the hearts of people to the heart of God.” This has not changed and will not change. Our mission, vision and values will remain the same, and we will continue to be a bridge in our community while honoring our rich legacy.

Is Pastor Brady still leading The Bridge Frisco?

Yes! Pastor Brady and will continue to lead our church with full support from our founder, Bishop T.D. Jakes and our Pastoral Leadership team.

Will The Bridge Frisco still be a part of The Potter’s House family of churches?

The Bridge Frisco will continue to reflect the values and vision that have shaped our foundation. We will remain relationally connected with The Potter’s House family of churches

Is this name change a reaction to the succession plan announced at TPH Dallas?

We joyfully celebrate the success and succession of The Potter’s House of Dallas — we wouldn’t exist without it! Many blessings and continued success to Pastors Touré and Sarah Jakes-Roberts.

When we were planted, the assignment was clear, even if our exact landing place wasn’t. After 10+ thriving years in Frisco, our new name reflects the city we call home and the mission that has always been.

How will these changes impact congregants on a day-to-day basis?

In the coming weeks, congregants will see signage and other elements that use our original name and logo updated to reflect our new name and look, including our website and social media channels.  The term “bridge” is already ingrained as a part of our church culture and we will continue serving as a bridge in our community and to our congregants. Your giving, ministry involvement, and church experience will remain the same. However, our giving and online platforms will transition to reflect our new name.

Will the names of any ministries or groups change as part of the renaming?

A few ministry names will be updated to reflect our new identity. Firehouse North will become Bridge Students, and Northside Kids (NSK) will eventually transition to Bridge Kids in Phase Two of the rebrand. Our Young Adult ministry will now be officially branded as Bridge Young Adults. Most other ministry groups will retain their current names at this time. Above all, all of our ministries will continue to provide the same level of excellence that you have become accustomed to.

FRISCO, TX – We’re excited to share with you that The Potter’s House of North Dallas will now be officially known as The Bridge Frisco! This change reflects our mission, vision, geographical location and continued direction of our church. Since our inception, our mission has been: “…to be a bridge, connecting the hearts of people to the heart of God.” This has not changed and will not change. Being a bridge is the essence of our ministry.

From the earliest days of hotel ballrooms, arenas, and even J.R.’s mansion at Southfork Ranch, The Potter’s House of North Dallas has moved with purpose and intentionality. The transition to The Bridge Frisco marks not a shift in purpose but an affirmation of our longstanding values and community impact.

This year, our church is celebrating 15 years of ministry, and we believe this new chapter is the perfect opportunity to refresh our name and look—reflecting on our legacy and looking with anticipation toward the future. We will continue to be a bridge to our entire congregation and communities. This refreshed brand is a culmination of who we are. Along with the name, we have also updated our visual identity, including our logo and colors, to reflect our new name and provide a visual representation of our mission.

Founder Bishop T.D. Jakes strongly supports our church and gives his blessing to this name change and updated visual identity. The Bridge Frisco will continue to reflect the values and vision that have shaped our foundation. We will remain relationally connected with The Potter’s House family of churches.
